Girl, 6, Killed In Kendall Crash, Joliet Man Charged With DUI

JOLIET, IL — A 6-year-old Joliet girl died and a 29-year-old Joliet woman was airlifted to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries after police say a 34-year-old motorist was under the influence of drugs and disregarded a stop sign in Kendall County.

The little girl, identified as Lily Hicks, was taken to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, where she died of her injuries, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

State police said Kubistal has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana, disobeying a stop sign, operating without auto insurance and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Kendall County Court records also list charges including four counts of felony aggravated DUI resulting in death or great bodily harm.
