Mill Creek man dies in 4-vehicle wreck on Highway 9
LAKE STEVENS — A Mill Creek man was killed and two other people were seriously injured Friday night in a four-vehicle crash on Highway 9.
The head-on wreck happened about 10:45 p.m. just north of Highway 204.
A man in a Subaru Impreza was northbound on Highway 9 when he reportedly began passing a 1990 Ford pickup, according to the Washington State Patrol. The Subaru slammed into an oncoming Chevy pickup.
The driver of the Ford truck was unable to avoid the crash and struck the Subaru. The impact then sent the truck spinning into a fourth vehicle.
The Subaru’s driver, Tyler Martel, 27, died at the scene, according to the State Patrol.
