MMA Fighter Accused Of Driving High In Fatal Schaumburg Crash

SCHAUMBURG, IL — A Streamwood mixed martial artist is accused of driving under the influence of drugs leading to a three-vehicle accident in Schaumburg last week that killed a 41-year-old man, according to police. Feroz Q. Khan, 25, was charged with DUI of drugs and aggravated DUI of drugs causing death, Schaumburg police said in a statement Friday.

According to authorities, the investigation found that speed and intoxicating substances were contributing factors in the crash. Prosecutors said Friday that Khan had been boating and smoking marijuana at a friend’s house in Carpenterville hours before the accident, the Herald reports.
