REVEALED: Suspect, 25, who ‘murdered cop in cold blood with her own weapon as she begged for her life’ has been arrested 21 times since 2014 and had an arrest warrant for battery when ‘he killed her in Comfort Inn’
Darius Sullivan had been wanted for battery and had 21 prior arrests in the last seven years before allegedly shooting Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic last week
The career criminal has faced 43 charges from local and state officials since he was 19-years-old, including for thefts, battery and resisting arrest
Kankakee County State’s Attorney Jim Rowe presented shocking body cam footage showing Rittmanic pleading for her life
Her last words were, ‘You don’t have to do this, please just go, please don’t please don’t,’ as Sullivan gunned her down on December 29
An Illinois prosecutor is seeking the death penalty for Sullivan and his girlfriend, Xandria Harris, who are also accused of shooting Rittmanic’s partner
Illinois is not a death penalty state, but the U.S. Attorney General can authorizing a filing for the ultimate punishment under certain circumstances
Both Sullivan and Harris were denied bond in hearings this week.
