Stoned driver in deadly DUI was playing on social media when he crashed: prosecutors
A drugged-up driver responsible for a deadly car crash was doing just about everything behind the wheel but paying attention to the road, authorities say.
Jordan Michalak of Berwyn, Illinois, was using a social media app and wearing headphones during the Oct. 9 car crash that killed William Molthop, 60, and Vincent Neri, 62, according to prosecutor and witnesses. He also allegedly was high on marijuana and cocaine.
The 23-year-old was ordered held without bail Thursday on charges of aggravated driving under the influence causing death and reckless homicide the Chicago Tribune reports.
